Boards of directors and executive leadership often set ambitious goals to advance the vision for their organizations. Sometimes achieving those goals requires new capital projects and major programmatic investments, which require leadership to ask this all-important question: How will we pay for this? Should we plan a comprehensive campaign? Do we need a capital campaign? How much will it cost to maintain new and expanded facilities? Too often, organizations jump headlong into projects without thoroughly considering a realistic funding plan, which could include revenue from philanthropy, public entities, and other sources. This session explores how to synchronize fundraising with strategic priorities. Through a brief presentation and a panel session, we will learn how organizations of different sizes and missions align their fundraising potential to drive key strategic priorities. We will conclude with a Q&A component.
